As I get older I am getting completely obsessed with finding women who have let their hair go grey and wear it well. It seems to be something that we are all avoiding as it puts us in a different category the minute we leave our hair to go silver. I think for alot of us women we think it will make us look old. More and more I am growing tired of constantly coloring my hair and having the regrowth come back every two weeks. I want to have the courage to grow it out and see the beautiful color it probably is. I have found 4 women who all let their grey come through earlier on in life and not only do they wear it well but I think it enhances their beauty. The pic below is of Pia Gronning, a danish model who at 62 still looks beautiful. The next one is Cindy Joseph who got talent spotted ,after she had turned grey, at 48 to model - her first job being shows for Dolce and Gabbana . Then there is Carmen Dell'Orefice (my favourite) who at 80, is stunning, and still working as a model. And the last pic is British Vogue's Sarah Harris who has gone grey young and looks AMAZING!
It is time we learnt to embrace these changes and wear them with style and pride. After all it happens to us all...... it's all in the way you own it and wear it. Happy new year....

Agreed! It's such a gutsy thing to do and seems to always look fabulous on the women who have gone that way.... it's just the letting go. And what to do when you know you're half half not gloriously grey all over.

About...I have been a makeup artist for over 20 yrs and am passionate about beauty and helping women to look the best they possibly can. I believe that women are beautiful at any age , and being older myself, am constantly on the look out for products that will help the skin retain its glow and beauty. From a very young age I have paid attention to my skin and have always gone looking for new, innovative - or even tried and true products that make a difference. I take inspiration from my friends and women I meet in my work. These women are the reason I started this blog , so that I can pass on my knowledge and help women to keep looking, and feeling amazing . I love finding new looks that inspire and you can adapt to your own style . I am also a mum with 3 boys which keeps my life very busy ... and never dull as anyone who knows me will attest to! All items posted on this blog are chosen because I have personally tried them and like them. I hope you find something here that you will love and will work for you. Archives
