I thought this week since the sun is out ( yeah! ) I would put together my favourite bronzers that I like to work with…NARS because he always gets it right and it dusts over the skin beautifully, - LAGUNA is the most popular. Perricone MD because the Dr gets it right too - this one contains Vit C Ester which is great for sun damage. Bobbi Brown - great natural glow, Marc Jacobs - great colour and Stila because its a lotion and gives a gorgeous glow. I prefer mine without too much shimmer and more brown than orange which is another reason to have these all on my favourites list…. Dust lightly on the face or use as a contour. x

Now that summer is here its time to keep your nails looking great, and it's fun to play with different looks . Here are some of my favourite ones right now … the gold tip replacing the white for a french polish. And to take the look that little bit further for fun - adding a glitter nail . Then the ombre look, especially in the colours above, is fun and stylish. I am also liking the 5 free new nail polishes that do not have the nasty chemicals in them (formaldehyde being one of them)…Try Scout or Mecca who are both 5 free in a great range of colours . x
One of the most common reasons I hear as to why some women don't wear eye makeup is because they don't know how to do it…. and I get it, it's a bit daunting if you don't know what you're doing . Far better to leave it alone than to end up looking like you put it on after your 4th drink :). There is an art to it but you can learn it, and there is also a formula that if you follow will give you a great look every time . The picture on the left gives you exactly the template to use if you just want to know where to even start when it comes to applying eye shadows. I have shown you the model on the right so you can see how this translates in a heavy eye. But this method works with soft and natural or dark and smokey - any colour way - it is foolproof. You can also extend the pale colour in the inner corner of the eye right into the corner to really open up the eye (as shown in the pic on the right)…..and always remember to blend the shadows into each other so as not to have any harsh lines.
Give it a go ….x pics courtesy of : Pinterest and Vogue Russia |
About...I have been a makeup artist for over 20 yrs and am passionate about beauty and helping women to look the best they possibly can. I believe that women are beautiful at any age , and being older myself, am constantly on the look out for products that will help the skin retain its glow and beauty. From a very young age I have paid attention to my skin and have always gone looking for new, innovative - or even tried and true products that make a difference. I take inspiration from my friends and women I meet in my work. These women are the reason I started this blog , so that I can pass on my knowledge and help women to keep looking, and feeling amazing . I love finding new looks that inspire and you can adapt to your own style . I am also a mum with 3 boys which keeps my life very busy ... and never dull as anyone who knows me will attest to! All items posted on this blog are chosen because I have personally tried them and like them. I hope you find something here that you will love and will work for you. Archives
