Freckles

I have lived with freckles all of my life and despite my mother promising me that they would disappear when I was 20, they are still there and I have finally made peace with them .
 All I wanted when I was young was to have flawless , creamy skin like everyone else (or that's the way it seemed) , but alas it was not to happen. In the summertime they would come out even darker and I spent my modelling years having them painted out with inches of foundation , making me wish even more that I hadn't been cursed with them.
With the wisdom of age I realise they are not a curse at all, they are unique. I believe they are one of the reasons that I have remained looking younger than my years as no-one expects you to be 50 with a face full of freckles!  My sons have all inherited them and when I look at their faces spattered with the sunkisses , I smile... they are adorable.
I have learned to love them so much I made a Pinterest board dedicated to freckles and the beautiful faces they adorn.
So to any of you who have freckles, don't cover them, celebrate them. They truly are gorgeous....see pic above.
